Shimon has been fighting for client’s rights for over 24 years. Previously having served as a Deputy District Attorney in Teller and El Paso Counties he prosecuted felony, misdemeanor, and traffic violations. Shimon has been admitted to the Colorado Bar since 2000 and the Federal Bar since 2003. He graduated from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law in 1999 with his Juris Doctorate degree.
Shimon established the Kohn Law Firm so that he could advocate for client’s rights when it comes to crimes such as: first degree assault, murder, financial crimes, domestic violence, and anything in between. He understands that being charged with a crime comes with its personal challenges and consequences. Shimon navigates clients through a complex legal system by providing guidance, advice, and support. He understands and empathizes with the fact that being charged with a crime complicates many facets of a person’s life and he is here to help minimize the impact that charge could have on a client’s future livelihood. Shimon has been a pillar of the legal community in Colorado Springs for over two decades and during that time he has recieved acquittals for many clients in cases that involve charges for domestic violence, sexual assault, attempted murder, drug charges, and assault. Shimon defense counsel on the last death penalty case in Colorado after the moratorium was passed and signed by the Governor of Colorado.

As a Deputy District Attorney in Colorado and Illinois, Erica brings a wealth of knowledge in criminal law, from felonies to misdemeanors, including juvenile delinquency and abuse and neglect cases. Her extensive courtroom experience has honed her skills as a persuasive advocate, now dedicated to serving her clients’ needs.
Transitioning to private practice, Erica has excelled in navigating complex family law issues, protection orders, and overlapping criminal matters. Drawing from her background in accounting and finance, Erica adeptly handles intricate financial aspects often involved in family law cases. She prioritizes clear communication, ensuring clients comprehend the legal process, explore their options, and anticipate potential outcomes.

Victoria Boden is a Colorado Springs native and 2012 graduate of Widefield High School. While working in administration at a very large Colorado law firm, Victoria became an expert in helping clients navigate the legal process and assisting attorneys with their day-to-day tasks. After gaining four years of valuable insight into the legal
field, she decided to make the shift from administration to becoming a family law paralegal in 2023.
Now in her second year, Victoria enjoys the challenge of drafting complex legal documents, conducting extensive research in family law cases involving military divorce and grandparents’ rights, and ensuring that clients’ delicate legal matters are handled efficiently. Macey is a dedicated paralegal at The Kohn Law Firm, where she provides critical support to clients in all stages of their case. She is a crucial part of our legal team and assists our family law attorneys with case preparation, file management, calendaring all case deadlines, and all aspects of the litigation process. With a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of legal procedures, Macey ensures that cases are managed efficiently, and clients receive the highest standard of service. Macey prides herself on her customer service skills and attention to detail to help coach clients through what can be some of the hardest times in their lives.
Prior to joining The Kohn Law Firm, Macey worked as a judicial clerk at the El Paso County Combined Courts, where she developed experience in both criminal and family law. She attended Arizona State University and Colorado Technical University and continues to stay current on legal trends and best practices through ongoing education and training.
Outside of work, Macey enjoys reading, spending time with her dogs, and camping.
